SEMINARS

Rusper Aikido Club actively supports and encourages its students to attend seminars and courses run by Aikido for Daily Life, United Kingdom Aikikai (UKA) and others.

As Aikido is a non-competitive martial art, it is recommended that you experience a wide variety of teachers as they all have their own unique style and approach to Aikido. Some you may like, others you may not but along the way you will pick up new principles and techniques for your Aikido ‘tool box’. Courses and seminars provide you with an opportunity to practice your Aikido with new people and make lots of friends and connections.

Rusper Aikido Club host at least 2-3 seminars a year during which highly-respected and gifted instructors are invited to teach. Please look at our events below:

Aiki Extended 2020 - Burwell (nr. Cambridge) 18th - 20th September 2020

Come and join us in a festival of aikido, where we will explore the principles of aikido both on the mat, but also by participating in various workshops that explore how these same principles can be used in off the mat situations or in related arts.  You will be able to benefit from the knowledge of over 20 teachers, coming from many countries, representing different aikido lineages, and presenting aikido focusing on principle, offering sessions on how aikido can be applied in many different aspects of life off the mat and also offering the opportunity to explore related arts. The collective knowledge is simply vast, and it is a unique opportunity to explore the big picture.

The question is, what sessions will you choose to attend, as we aim to offer three potential sessions every hour and at least one aikido session and one workshop every hour.

Your biggest complaint at the end will be that you couldn’t attend all the sessions that you wanted to.

This will be a fantastic opportunity to expand your knowledge and vision, to experience new things and to make new friends as participants will come from different groups and represent a good few countries.

Course Details: This is an open Aikido seminar, and everyone is welcome to attend.
Cost: Purchase a ticket for this event.  The maximum cost is £85 for all 3 days.
